The plot is based in Goa. When we think about Goa,we automatically imagine the beaches,the dances,the sea food,the colourful dresses,the churches etc. Here we are shown the darker side. The series deals with human trafficking and the process.In such plots the corrupt police and the saviour hero is mandatory. The first three episodes are full of suspense.The outline of the story is understood but it's not clear till we see few more episodes.
Theme is not new but it is served in a new and bold way. It deals with one sting of crime, that is human trafficking. It is not too complicated, but many queries remain unanswered. Like why was Nassiruddin Shah training him? Why should his daughter help the hero going  out of her way? How does he know about the clues etc. Nassiruddin Shah's daughter is called Tommy. Only that brings a smile in the whole series.
I found the series incomplete because when we watch a thriller, we expect a proper conclusion. But it remained unsolved till the end. It depends on the wisdom of the audience  to guess. Perhaps  the next season will bring much needed  clarity.
Some scenes are extremely disturbing.
The big name like Nassiruddin Shah was my reason to watch it.The other actors were Tanmay Dhanania, Satyadeep Misra, Tara D'souza,Vaibhavi Upadhyay, Roshini Walia, Rupali Bhosale, Mukul Chadda, Anindya Gupta. It's on Zee5.

Inspired by the true story of the 1999 IC 814 hijack, Kathmandu Connection is built on a fictional setup. This theme is used countless times in different series and movies but it still manages to engage the audience with tight storytelling techniques. The first season was inspired by the 1993 Mumbai blast and this season picks up 5 years after the events of the preceding season.
