Prevention of crime before it occurs is the main motive of this project 9191. If the audience have not  seen any English show on similar subject then it offers something new from the routine. It is a perfect fit for those who enjoy thrillers. The show has action and adventure that will keep the audience hooked throughout.
There is a special unit within police. Anyone can dial the number and express their concerns regarding suspicious activity around them. Amitabh Sinha, a former crime branch head is the senior most of this wing. He and his team race against time and find clues that will help them to curb crime before it happens from the city of Mumbai. There is a story of kidnapping and extortion, honour killing, murder, acid attack, terror threats etc. But the core story of the series involving Jamal connects all the thread of the story line. Most of the time there is  false alarm as well. It becomes a headache for the ministry. Amitabh Sinha therefore is given a one month deadline to prove the unit's worth. He and his team make all possible attempts to do so.
Each episode consists of a case involving a different crime. But an effort to pack too much makes the whole thing look a little clumsy. There  are a bunch of conflicting characters . .The mistrust adds to the tension and it seems they  are ready to explode anytime. The conclusion too is something I am uncomfortable with as it leaves everything on the  audience's wisdom.
The casting of the series is perfect. Satyajit Sharma with his commanding personality and confidence is most suitable for the role of DCP Amitabh Sinha. Vaibhav Tatwadwaade as Pankaj Dhanawade properly carries his unreliable nature with confidence and charm. Trishna Mukherjee as Deepa Nagpal is similarly adequate. Usman Dastangin as Shashi Raj Pandey and Jaswant Singh Dalat as Sharad Kumar have also given an amazing performance.

Inspired by the true story of the 1999 IC 814 hijack, Kathmandu Connection is built on a fictional setup. This theme is used countless times in different series and movies but it still manages to engage the audience with tight storytelling techniques. The first season was inspired by the 1993 Mumbai blast and this season picks up 5 years after the events of the preceding season.
