The plot is not new, but the thrill makes it worth watching.
Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh is considered the crime capital of India. The entire city is occupied by two criminal gangs, the first is that of two brothers (Dedha brothers), the leader of the second gang is Shaukeen khan. There is a continuous fight between the gangs to control the entire city. Kidnapping, murdering, fighting, gun, bloodshed is a routine affair in Muzzafernagar. The twist in the story comes with the entry of a new SSP. His task is to clean Muzzafernagar against Mafia Raj, curb the gang war, eliminate the fear of criminals from the people and win their confidence. There is an elaborate shootout between the cops and the gangster, which gives the feel of a short film. It's a tale of khaki heroism with guns n gunnas. The language and the fields typically give a regional feel.
It's a thriller drama based on true incidents in Muzzafernagar. It's an untold story of an IPS officer Navneet Sekera, an idealist, straight forward and righteous man. He opted to do a police job due to a childhood incident. He drastically brought down the organised crime rate in UP. He and his team bravely killed Shaukeen and his gangster through strategic planning. Gangwar comes to an end but Deda brother is yet to be eliminated. Probably season 2 may come to conclude it.
Mohit Raina plays the lead role of a cop Navneet Sekera. He was able to play a perfect police officer. The other lead characters are Abhimanyu Singh as Shaukeen,Siddhant Kapoor as Chintu Dedha, Pradeep Nagar as Pintu Dedha, Sunny Hinduja as Farukh Qureshi, Bedita Beg as Nazneen, Sanyam Srivastava as Karim and Rashmi Rajput as Puja Sikora.

Inspired by the true story of the 1999 IC 814 hijack, Kathmandu Connection is built on a fictional setup. This theme is used countless times in different series and movies but it still manages to engage the audience with tight storytelling techniques. The first season was inspired by the 1993 Mumbai blast and this season picks up 5 years after the events of the preceding season.
