LAKHON MEIN EK(season2) - V View Reviews #31

Laakhon Mei Ek(season 2)...is not a continuation of season 1as far as the plot is concerned, therefore it can be watched independently.
Directed by Abhishek Sengupta, this series is dedicated to the junior Doctor, Shreya Pathak, who is posted in a remote village of Sitlapur to conduct a cataract camp that the government wants to organise just before the election is the plotline.
Doctors posted in rural India have different challenges, especially deep-rooted corruption. It is beautifully and realistically captured on camera without any sugar coating. Shortage of medicine, lack of infrastructure, ignorance of people, hoarding of medicine, black marketing, more faith on quacks etc can be frustrating to the doctors posted there. They need to handle with sensitivity and maturity. This struggle of doctors is covered in season 2 and it's worth watching.
Doctors are still a Nobel profession and the faith is resumed after watching this series. A homemaker just can not be a cook alone, they need to be a good manager handling other affairs too..so are the doctors. They cannot be treating patients, their arena is very large. They need to have good communication skills, and an understanding of the chain system of supplies, marketing angle, interference of politics, crisis management and much more.  This profession is not untouched by the election season. The victims are mostly the small fish.
The music is simple and poignant that compliment the narrative.
The lead cast is Shweta Tripathi, who has done full justice to the role.
It's streaming on Amazon Prime.
