MURDER MERI JAAN - V View Reviews #37

As the very name suggests Murder Meri Jaan is a crime thriller with the essence of comedy in it. ACP Aditya with help of Sonal and Bhasker solves the murder mysteries. Audiences can guess the culprits as the cases are not that complicated. But the interesting part is the parallel subplot of Sonal and Aditya that glues the audience. It unfolds slowly and connects all the 21 episodes. An unusual couple  Aditya as ACP and Sonal as a con artist adds a lot of humour and is joyful to watch. Sharat Sonu as Bhasker is another character who is a joy to watch. All the characters are well written. The storytelling is good. Episodes are short and crisp. Overall it's light-hearted, comical, energetic, bubbly, joyful, romantic and thrilling.
The lead roles are played by Barkha Singh as Sonal Arora, Tanuj Virwani as Aditya, Sharat Sonu as Bhasker. The other actors are Deepika Amin, Gautam Handa, Rashmi Gupta. It is directed by Nisheet Neerav Neelkant.
All episodes of this series are available on Disney+ Hotstar on the special format called Quix.

Inspired by the true story of the 1999 IC 814 hijack, Kathmandu Connection is built on a fictional setup. This theme is used countless times in different series and movies but it still manages to engage the audience with tight storytelling techniques. The first season was inspired by the 1993 Mumbai blast and this season picks up 5 years after the events of the preceding season.
