NAKAAB - V View Reviews #35

Watching Nakaab is simply a waste of time. The plot is about a murder and its investigation without a thrill. Watching this series about a high profile death will remind you about Pratyusha and Sushant Singh that was in news. The rave party will remind you of Bollywood and its association with drugs that are in news from time to time. The character of Zohra will remind you of soap queens in the television industry. The eight-episode series with poor narrative ends up in mess. It appears as if few headlines are cooked up and served to the audience. Only tolerable are actors Esha Gupta and Gautam Rode as cops trying to unravel the murder mystery.
There are too many scenes that can bring an awkward silence if it is being watched by somebody else. Though the cops have the victims mobile that discloses the horrible secrets and discloses the cause of her death, yet will she get justice in front of big fish is the plot.

Inspired by the true story of the 1999 IC 814 hijack, Kathmandu Connection is built on a fictional setup. This theme is used countless times in different series and movies but it still manages to engage the audience with tight storytelling techniques. The first season was inspired by the 1993 Mumbai blast and this season picks up 5 years after the events of the preceding season. One needs to see season 1 to watch the 2nd season for a better understanding of the plot. Aksha Pardasani as Shivani Bhatnagar is now working for a London-based media house. One day she gets a document regarding the national security threat. She decides to crack down the dangerous conspiracy and finally lands up in Kathmandu following the lead. Five intern doctors are the prime suspects. The police in their full form are following the case honestly. The saviors of life are charged with murder. They were no more life-saving doctors but  criminals now . In the process of probing them many shocking  were revealed. The complexity of characters that this drama deals with is commendable.
