YOUR HONOUR - V View Reviews #43

'Your Honour' is the adaptation of the Israeli series `Kvodo'. In this inspired Hindi version, Jimmy Shergill plays the lead role of Bishan Khosla and steals the show. He is an honourable judge of Ludhiana, Punjab and his son gets involved in a hit and run case. He finds himself in the middle of the crime and is compelled to make a choice that is in complete contrast, duties as a father and responsibilities as a judge. Many subplots are running parallel in this series. The story's backdrop is a complex web of tussles between the two local dons, the local Punjabi and Bhaiyas from UP.  Everyone tries to extract profit from the situation. The writer has created a complex web of suspicion, the darkness of a criminal world, police procedure gang war and father love for his son. The direction, dialogue, screenplay, music, visual appeal, editing, script, cinematography and acting are all good. The beauty lies in its amazing twist in the climax of season one. Overall it has a gripping storyline. Though the runtime of the series is a little longer than the usual web series,  it is a decent watch. It's a thriller with two seasons and the story of the second season starts from the point where we last saw these characters in Ludhiana. Both parts weave a strong emotion of a man's love for his family and his desire for vengeance.
The lead roles are played by Jimmy Shergill, Mita Vashist, Varun Badola, Parul Gulati, Yashpal Sharma, Kunj Anand, Gulshan Grover, Mahi Gill, Richa Pallod, Pulkit Makol, and Zaishan Qadri. ItsJimmy Shergill who drives the whole show successfully. He is never seen with a smile on his face and thus successfully transfers the tension to the viewers. Mita Vashist is impressive as a police officer. Her character as Kiran Sekhon and his subordinate, inspector Mandeep Singh(Gagan Deep Singh) leave no stone unturned in their effort to solve the case. Pulkit Makol plays the role of a teenager. Richa Pallod was simply superb as Indu. Gulshan Grover, the industry's bad man, here is sensible and merciless at the same time. He with Mahi Gill play the new gang member in season two. Zeishan Qadri as Jagda has taken over the throne that was left by Yashpal Sharma in the first season. Kunj Anand as Harman Mudki is praiseworthy.
Directed by E Niwas and written by Ishan Trivedi and Neeraj Pandey under the production house Applause Entertainment, this crime story is worth watching on the platform Sony LIV.
