GIRGIT - V View Reviews #53
Girgit means Chameleon in Hindi. This creature can change colour according to the environment. We are introduced to the characters here who can demonstrate different facets of human nature according to what they desire.
There are three plots weaved together. Manali's richest man Ranbir Khetan's engagement to Avantika, the story of Shimoli and Mahi, who are small time thieves and their love and thirdly Janhvi, who has been missing for the past seven months and it's an investigation done by the inspector Rathod. One cross-connection brings all the characters together and turn their lives upside down with full of twists and turns. It's all about greed, lust, desire, deceit, murder, mystery, suspense tempered with foul language and too many lovemaking scenes.
Since it is set in Shimla and Manali, the camera work of Shelly Sharma could capture its beauty. The good location and the good pace is to be appreciated, but too much adult content gives the narrative a non-serious feel. The background score is okay. The performance is also average. The main star is Nakul Sahdev as Ranbir, Samar Varmani as inspector Rathod, Taniya Kalra as Janhvi/ Shamoli, Ashmita Jaggi as Avantika, Trupti Khamkar as Mahi.
Written by Mukul Srivastav, Produced by Rohit Kumar, directed by Santosh Shetty, this series with 7 episodes is an average watch.
It is streaming on MX player.
