DAMAGED(season 1) - V View Reviews #81

Damage (season 1) is a tale of love, lust, and murder. Lovina Birdie( Amruta Khanvilker) is in the lead role. She is a beautiful woman, warm and inviting but has a devious intention. She dates a man for a while, murders him, and gets the corpse buried in the wall. Seduction is her primary weapon. She has her logic behind it, runs a bakery, and lives a decent life with no regrets. Then comes the role of the cop Abhay (Amit Sail) who is ruthless and abusive. He lives a troubled life on a personal and professional level. The identity of the killer is revealed to the audience at the beginning itself, only the police are unaware. How the police investigate the case of the missing people and what happens in the cat and mouse chase is the plotline of the series.
The theme of the female serial killer is unprecedented. The essence of the story is its execution. The writer plunges into the mind of the serial killer and makes the audience see the world from her perspective. Another good thing is that no character in the series is completely correct. Everyone has their justification. The story of the cops runs parallel and weaved well.
As an audience, the story seems unreal from beginning to end. Especially the way the murderer disposes of the body without being caught even by CBI. There are too many bold scenes and can not be watched with the family. The series is lengthy as well. Repetitive dialogues are boring at times. To me, it seemed the tits and bits joined together for a story without any logic. I found this series disappointing therefore may not watch the other seasons.
The lead actor Amruta Khanvilker as Lovina Birdie, the serial killer is effortless and praiseworthy. Amit Sail as a cop is reasonably well and justified in his role. The rest of the cast is ok. This crime,  suspense psychological thriller is streaming on MX player.
