YOUR HONOUR - V View Reviews #43

'Your Honour' is the adaptation of the Israeli series `Kvodo'. In this inspired Hindi version, Jimmy Shergill plays the lead role of Bishan Khosla and steals the show. He is an honourable judge of Ludhiana, Punjab and his son gets involved in a hit and run case. He finds himself in the middle of the crime and is compelled to make a choice that is in complete contrast, duties as a father and responsibilities as a judge. Many subplots are running parallel in this series. The story's backdrop is a complex web of tussles between the two local dons, the local Punjabi and Bhaiyas from UP.  Everyone tries to extract profit from the situation. The writer has created a complex web of suspicion, the darkness of a criminal world, police procedure gang war and father love for his son. The direction, dialogue, screenplay, music, visual appeal, editing, script, cinematography and acting are all good. The beauty lies in its amazing twist in the climax of season one. Overall it has a g...

MATSYA KAAND - V View Reviews #42

There is no story without a hero and a villain. This time, in this series both is Ravi. The hero Ravi Dubey and the villain Ravi Kishan. Another interesting point is the cop is a gruesome villain and the conman is the hero.  The cat and the mouse chase between them is the thread binding all episodes though each episode has a stand-alone case. The series is a perfect blend of drama, entertainment, thrill, twists and turns with no dull moments. The whole series revolves around revenge and scam, nothing is new with the plotline, but the beauty lies in its presentation, drawing a parallel between the scenes from the Mahabharata and the current situation. All 11 episodes are inspired by the mythological characters of Mahabharata and keeping that in mind each episode is named. The twists and turns, friendships, emotions, guns and gangsters, planning and plotting, murders, lies, deceits are all weaved perfectly well for the viewers. The show also hints at season 2. All the characters have...

PUSHPAVALLI - V View Reviews #41

Pushpavalli, created by Sumukhi Suresh, stars her as a lead character. The entire show revolves around her stalking Nikhil Rao( Manish Anand). She shifted from Bhopal to Bangalore to pursue a guy she is in love with. She is lonely and crafty, extremely manipulative,  insecure and self-involved. She is street smart, intelligent, funny and crazy. You can love her or hate her but can not ignore her. The best part of the story is that it portrays flawed women and throws light on typical social standards of beauty. The strength of the series lies in its writing. It is fresh and insightful. The storyline is comical and romantic. It is edgy and engaging, interesting and annoying as well.  All actors are amazing and good in their given roles. The landlady Vasu (Shraddha) and her English language seasoned with Kannada is very hilarious and relatable. Swati is sweet, Manish Anand is smart. Navin Richard is also brilliant, Betu Boi is cute and even smaller characters have their significa...
