DAHAN: RAAKAN KA RAHASYA - V View Reviews #86

Dahan Rakaan Ka Rahasya is a horror thriller. Horror is generally liked by the audience. Good thing is that it is not filled with jumpscare every two minutes. It is a good mixture of myth and science. Dahan successfully manages to transport us to the world of legends, occult practices, and beliefs of a village Shilaspura in Rajasthan. A maligned collector Avani Raut (Tisca Chopra) is newly posted in a town with a strange case. Shilaspura is blessed with rare minerals in its mines which she wants to exploit so that the village can flourish. Residents believe that Shilaspura is cursed by a sorcerer named Ridhiyakan and is still trapped in a mound called Shilasthal. Ridhiyakan needs to be appeased so that she can lie dormant in her abode. If the mines are blasted, Ridhiyakan will be awakened and they will be possessed and will become Rakan. Avni does not believe in this legend and sees things through the lens of science. MAHARANI (SEASON 2) - V View Reviews #85

Maharani(season 2) is an intense political, multi-season  drama. It is set in 90's Bihar's politics and its inspiration is an open secret. One who is aware of Bihar's politics of that time can easily relate most of the characters to real politics. So are the issues real of that time like reservation bills, Rajeev Goswami's self-immolation, the Shilpi Gautam Murder case, and the demand for a separate Jharkhand are the sources that are weaved along the plot. This fictional world is very similar to the real world. Only the name of the characters and incidents are changed. This series is gripping, enthralling, and engaging. Crash Course is a drama, where the story revolves around the business of education, the coaching mafia, and its impact on students' life. Kota a town in Rajasthan is a synonym for coaching preparation for IIT and NEET exams. Every year students flock there for admission. The journey of students, their friendship, peer pressure, and parental pressure are addressed. So are the distractions like Rav parties, drugs, teenage pregnancy, love, and romance is explored. Then this cocktail drama is mixed with the ugly side of the struggle between the coaching center. Delhi Crime ( season 2) is based on "Moon Gazer' a chapter from Khaki Files: Inside Stories Of Police Investigation by Neeraj Kumar. In this season the Delhi Police deals with the criminals who ruthlessly murder senior citizens and crush their faces with a hammer in South Delhi. Vartika Chaturvedi the DSP and her team members Neeti, Bhupender Singh, Jai Singh, and Subhash Gupta try to solve the case. The modus Operandi of the criminals is very similar to the infamous Kaccha Baniyan gang of the 90s. These criminals wear vests and boxers on crime scenes and therefore they were nicked named thus. They leave traces of oil too. But these gangs were active in the 1990s. So there was big unrest in society and fear in the public. The role of the media there had a bad impact on the investigation. How Delhi police handle the case and uncover the truth is the plot line. The main plot is woven with the small backstory of everyone and touches on the delicate issue of the class divide too. ...

DURANG- This word can be split into two ..Du..means two, rang is color/shades...so two shades. The lead character has a dual personality and that is the center point of the story. Summit Patil ( Gulshan Devaiah) on one hand is a caring husband, a devoted father, a perfect cook, and a good metal artist. On the other hand, he has a shameful past which he is hiding from his wife Ira(Drishti Dhami). Ira is a righteous police officer in the Mumbai Police Crime Branch. They are married for 11 years and have a baby Anya( Hera Mishra). They live a happy and contended life until one day a multiple murder case leads Ira to her home and her husband. The shocking revelation and the twisted dangerous past of her husband shatter their marriage that was built on a foundation of lies and deceit.
